Bollywood Celebs and Designers at the India Runway Week

The grand fashion extravaganza India Runway Week Winter/Festive 2015 Season 5 was held from 4^th September till 6^th September 2015 at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi. It was organised by Indian Federation for Fashion Development, the whole collection was from young, budding, next gen and established designers.

The music plays an integral part in every fashion show and this one was a combination of Dhol Beats, High Music and soothing lights. The ambience and the atmosphere kept the participants as well as the visitors in high spirits. The Designers were from all across India who showcased their beautiful, elegant and fashionable collection for the winter/festive season.

36 designers participated in 14 different fashion shows held at the India Runway Week. It was celebrated by fresh fashion by young and budding designers who got an opportunity to share a big platform with senior and established names from the fashion industry.

The India Runway Week was commenced with a Grand opening by Singer Mika Singh and Actor Darshan Kumar for Designer Himmat Singh’s ‘Royal Heritage Collection’. It was followed by the collection of few new designers like Nikheil, Rivendra, Twinkle, Anupam Kumar, Hetal Shah and Neetu Singh.

Day 2 started with designers like Rishi & Soujit, Kanika & Sugandh, Bani Pasricha, Divya Shah & Lipsa Jain, Ojasvita Mahendru, Pallavi A Agarwal and Purvi – Aanal. The highlight of the day was Gauhar Khan walking the ramp for Delhi based jewellery designer Akassh K Aggarwal.

The Boudoir Collection by Akassh K Aggarwal was a recreation of a golden era of grandeur, splendour and preciousness of jewellery vanity. Using flora and fauna theme which made it an exotic Royal Indian Celebration with a combination of diamonds, rubies emeralds, pearls, sapphires and several other semi-precious stones. Designers like Urvashi & Sukanya, Preyal and Amisha and Nidhi Kejriwal also showcased with Distinctive use of Colours, fabrics, style, and fashion keeping the their standards high throughout the show.

Saving the best for the last, the finale day had the collections from the industry professional designers like Manish Gupta and Shravan Kumar Ramaswamy. Everyone was waiting for Manish Gupta’s Collection and TV Actor Mohit Malhotra walked the ramp for his collection also small children from orphanage ‘Udayan Ghar’ were a part of his show.

Bollywood Actress Adah Sharma graced the collection of Designer Shravan Kumar Ramaswamy. His collection was based on the beauty of Ethnic Indian Designs which reflects an amalgamation of colour, texture along with class.

Other designers like Pankaj Singh, Ekta Goel, Kinjal Khimasia, Karan Sanger, Liz Paul, Satya Mishra, Priyanka Shenoy and Roop Vatika got phenomenal appreciation for their collections.
