Get Ready For IIFA Awards 2017, New York

The chosen venue for IIFA Awards 2017 is the city that truly never sleeps, the capital of the world, New York City and it is powered by Vivo smartphones.

The 18^th edition of this glittering event is going to be a blockbuster according to the director of Wizcraft International, the organisation that manages the gala event annually. The IIFA Awards 2017 are set to take place on the 14^th and the 15^th of July 2017 in the prestigious MetLife Stadium in New York City, where National Football League games and entertainment events like concerts etc., are held.

The IIFA Awards are usually a huge celebration and usually feature exciting performances by the best of Bollywood. This year will be no different and the show will bring to you performances by Alia Bhat, Shahid Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan, among others. The first day of the IIFA Awards 2017 will see the IIFA Press Conference taking place, along with IIFA Rocks, which will celebrate legendary musician and composer, A. R. Rahman’s 25 years in the music industry. The main event is scheduled to happen on the second day of the star-studded weekend. Fans can look forward to a whole lot of well choreographed Bollywood style masti on the second day along with the announcement of the winners of IIFA Awards for the best of Indian Cinema in 2016.

The IIFA Awards are also known for being a fashion event and for the iconic Green Carpet, which is an IIFA Awards special that brings together the works of several coveted designers, on some of the biggest names in the film industry. The Awards show will be hosted by film director and talk show host, Karan Johar.

The event is set to be one of the most iconic editions of the show yet. This will be the second time that the IIFA Awards are taking place in the US with the first time being at Tampa Bay in 2014.
