Beautiful Models showing off their Baby Bumps ⋆ NGC Lifestyle

After Carol Gracias looked so stunning on the ramp with a baby bump on the Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort Day 3, I was urged to look at other models who walked the ramp when they were pregnant.

Italian footballer Mario Balotelli’s pregnant (ex-)girlfriend Raffaella Fico wore a wedding dress at a fashion show in Naples, Italy in November 2012. Rafaella, who was seven months pregnant, was dressed in a long white gown with a cascading skirt and embellished bustier. She also walked the runway at the Pin-Up Star Spring/Summer 2013 fashion show in Milan on September 22, 2012.

The most fascinating show was Dolce & Gabbana show at Milan Fashion Week which was inspired from motherhood. The model Bianca Balti paraded her baby bump while some models carried babies down the runway. The show was aptly called ‘Viva la Mamma’.

Patricia Kaiser

Pregnant model Patricia Kaiser walked for the German designer Michael Michalsky during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin on July 6, 2012. Michael Michalsky, commented that he designs “real clothes for real people,” and hence sent model Patricia Kaiser down the runway, with her fully exposed baby bump.

Sophia Cahill

In February in the same year , former Miss Wales Sophie Cahill walked the ramp wearing nothing but a hat for Milliner Robyn Coles at the London Fashion Week.

Ashleigh Good

Ashleigh Good greeted the audience at the end of the Chanel show at Paris Fashion Week in July, 2014. She walked the ramp with the designer Karl Lagerfeld.

Alessandra Ambrosio

During the Victoria’s Secret catwalk show in 2011 Alessandra was two months pregnant. She displayed three different looks on the runway with toned figure and a small bump. She looked fabulous in Passion Play Fan Wings which were encrusted with 105,000 Swarovski crystals and dark blue stones. The Brazilian top model, also walked the runway during the Colcci Show at Sao Paulo Fashion Week Fall in January, 2012.

Pregnant Lucie Váchová wore a lingerie and modelled during Old Hollywood Night fashion show in Prague in December, 2011.

A year before in 2010, Bethenny Frankel showed off her baby bump at the Heart Truth Fall Fashion Show. She was more than five months pregnant with her first child with fiance Jason Hoppy and looked amazing in her Isabella Oliver red frock.

Pregnant Jourdan Dunn walked the ramp for Jean-Paul during the Paris Womenswear Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010. She looked stunning in her brown attire which covered her belly in a really trendy way. Its really overjoying to hear Dunn’s comment that the fashion industry was very supportive and took care of her during her pregnancy.

It’s always amazing to keep ‘bumping’ into stories where models break conventions and flaunt their baby bump on the runway.
