Vivo Celebrates 10 Years of IPL with Vivo V5 Plus IPL Edition

For all our cricket fans out there, we’ve got some exciting news. You probably would know that this is the year that the Indian Premier League celebrates its 10^th anniversary. And Vivo has a nice surprise release to help commemorate the event: a premium, Vivo V5 Plus IPL Edition.

Bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan released this limited edition beauty in Hyderabad on 4th April 2017, in an event which was attended by the CEO of the BCCL, Mr. Rahul Johri, and the CMO of Vivo India, and we fell in love with it at first sight. The phone is a luxurious matte black (quite rare in phones, which is why it is such a beauty) with a special ‘VIVOIPL’ logo engraved at the back panel to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of India’s biggest sporting event.

The phone itself bears all the specifications of the much loved V5 Plus. It has the ultra cool 20MP dual lens front camera that take your selfies to the next level with the depth of field effects you can create and the 16 MP rear camera. It also has a really powerful RAM (4 GB), great battery life (3055 mAh) and a large, responsive display (13.87 cm FHD). The extra cool thing of course, is the matte black colour of the phone which was previously only available in Gold, and the gold engraved logo.

The elegant design of the phone gets only sleeker with the dark colour and the logo at the back makes it a rare collection item that will look good in your hands when you’re showing off your latest gadgets to your friends. And if you’re a cricket fan it is the ultimate IPL memorabilia to collect. It could also make a great gift for a cricket crazy loved one.

This event also officially marks Vivo’s position as IPL’s title sponsor. Vivo has recently emerged as a tech giant in this part of the world with several new well-received releases into the mid-range and budget level of smartphones. And of course, for creating the V5, which revolutionized the selfie game.
