Sports Diner By Hangout

There’s always something nice about themed restaurants, those insane places where your eating-out becomes an experience and not just your routine treat. This week we got to experience one such eating joint which took the whole themed restaurant tag to a whole new level altogether. We’re talking about the newly opened Sports Diner by Hangout at Select Citywalk, Delhi’s latest cool hangout joint.

It’s pretty obvious from the name itself that this is a sports themed restaurant, but the thing about this place is that it is not just a diner, but is also the ultimate gaming joint. Here you’ll find a bowling alley, a pool table, air hockey, foosball… you name it. I don’t think you can even count the number of games in this place. It’s paradise for the game freak. It’s even got a lot of interactive games for children so you can bring your kids along and make it a family day.

We were lucky enough to be a part of their Game On Championship 2017 which they organised. Quite different from the usual launch party, this event brought all of us to our feet and sent a lot of playful cheer over the four teams that participated. We were part of the team called Hotshots with Rajiv Makhni from NDTV, Nikhil Chawla from The Unbiased Blog and Siddharth Sharma from Network 18 and we played against SelectCity Stars (The Select City staff), Super Models (Sonalika, Ashanti) & Fashion Fraternity ( Rahul Khanna, Rohit Gandhi, Rina Dhaka, Meghna Valaya, Varun Bahl). We really loved the idea of everybody coming together and having fun and it’s great how this is the kind of place that provides that space.

Food wise too, we’re totally impressed. The job of being a multitasking entertainment zone is a tough one but the Sports Diner by Hangouts handles it well, serving us great food in the fascinating sporty platters and also sporty ambience. They also serve alcohol and other beverages.

The space spans over two floors of the mall and like we’ve said earlier, it’s hard to complete all the games there in one afternoon. Which means that this is a place you will have to visit again and again. And you won’t mind it one bit. With the casual ambience, the delicious food and all those fun ways in which you can get your healthy competitive streak fired up, this place stands out as the ultimate weekend plan for everyone.
