Vivo V5 Plus, The #PerfectDuo
We’ve seen dual rear camera phones come up and right now, in 2017, we are not surprised by this innovation anymore. But a dual front camera phone? That’s more uncommon. Enter the all new Vivo V5 Plus, the latest selfie phone in town.
It is 2017 and it is clear that we have embraced the selfies as a medium of self expression that we never have to be ashamed of. Which is why it is a really a good thing that we now have phones that have been tailored to fit this need. The Vivo V5 was one such revolutionary phone and this year Vivo is all set to release the next game changer, the V5 Plus, a dual front camera selfie phone that will level you up quite significantly. The focus of this phone is it’s a 20 MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture and an additional 8 MP camera meant to capture depth of field details (hello bokeh selfies!). It also has the much talked about moonlight glow front flash system that lights your self-portraits up in the most natural way.

The Vivo V5 Plus is quite an attractive phone which fits in your hand and ups your style statement too with its very classy aesthetics – thinness, slim bezels, curved edges, metallic finish- the works. It’s not too different from its predecessor looks wise, but it sure packs a lot of power.
It’s equipped with a big battery (3055 mAh, to power your selfie sessions) and a Dual Engine Charging technology for fast charging always. It has a 4 GB RAM and a 64 GB ROM and is powered by an Octa core processor and runs Android Marshmallow and Vivo’s own Funtouch OS. Hence we can be sure, it is current and it is good stuff.
This phone is the perfect lifestyle phone because of a few of its brilliant features. The selfie aspect of course takes the limelight, but we love how music sounds on it too. And the split screen feature that they have included is a nice touch for a multi-tasker. It also has an in-built blue light filter, so you don’t end up with sleep-disorders from being over-stimulated by your phone, a feature which we think is a really thoughtful addition.
You can see the selfie samples below –
Priced at Rs 27,980, this phone is just toeing the line between being a perfect mid-range phone and being too expensive for its features. The difference here will lie in how you judge it and what purpose you buy it for. If you’re looking for a fun, non-mainstream phone with a bomb selfie camera, it would be well worth it.
