There are many things that the Taj Lands End Hotel in Mumbai gets right, where luxury hotels are concerned. It’s got a whole load of class and a list of services that will leave you feeling like a royal. Here’s why we think it is one of Mumbai’s best hotels, if not the bestest:

Location

The number one reason why we think this is a prime hotel is its location. It has picked the absolute best place in Mumbai as home: the Western Suburban lifestyle hub, Bandra, which is Mumbai’s most happening area. This luxury hotel is built upon the iconic Bandra Bandstand which means it is close to all the important places you need access to in the city, from the airports, commercial complexes, business parks right down to the tourist destinations.

Rooms

The next best thing about the Taj Land’s End in Mumbai, is that you can also see the much talked about Sea Link bridge and the Mumbai skyline from the hotel. In the night, the view of the city skyline is gorgeous because Mumbai is after all the city that never sleeps. So the piers look starry, the roads twinkle and you can enjoy it all over a glass of wine from the window of your luxury room in the Taj. You get impressed as soon as you enter the room, the curtains open automatically with an awesome view of the Sea Link, pool and the garden area. The rooms are equipped with all the basic amenities that you require on your trip, whether it’s leisure or business.

The hotel has a choice of delectably exotic restaurants to choose from. There’s an Indian speciality restaurant called Masala Bay, where you can taste the best of India under one roof. There’s also a fine dining Chinese restaurant, Ming Yang, which serves Sichuan specials and also an all day dining restaurant for your less formal meals. The hotel also has a lounge for your chilled out evenings and a bar for some drinks. You can book a table at The Chambers terrace and be served from a handpicked menu in a private setting, which is a Taj speciality.

Activities

Where recreation and relaxation is concerned, the Taj offers all Indian, all natural treatments in its newly opened spa, Jiva. It also has an asymmetrical pool which is a both a beauty and a delight. This means the Taj is an excellent place for a weekend-resort-like trip. It’s also the best luxury hotel for kids because it has a host of services which will keep your little ones occupied, all of which can be accessed by an activity passport which they get on arrival. These activities, which are all fun, include swimming, cooking and baking lessons, eggshell painting workshops etc.

All these good things that make the Taj are additionally wrapped in beautiful architecture inside-out, with interesting geometry on the outside and opulent colours on the inside, making sure you don’t forget even for a second, that Taj is all about class. It’s the perfect choice for a family treat. But if you’re looking for a fancy weekend or a business trip, it makes an excellent option. Either way, this is a hotel that will impress you. Even if the only thing you will do there is dine.
