Read on for the best homemade remedies for hair :
1. Coconut Oil:
If the best hair you remember having was when you were 7 and your grandma oiled your hair every Sunday afternoon, it’s time to return to the good old remedy. Heat it up and apply generously all over your scalp and hair from root to tip and wash off for softer hair.
2. Honey and Olive Oil:
The next kitchen superhero that is a remedy for almost everything out there is honey, one of the best things known to man. Mix some organic honey with olive oil (an excellent moisturizer) and apply the mixture to your hair. Wash off after 30 minutes and repeat weekly for damage free hair.
3. Honey and Milk:
Milk is another great conditioner for dry hair. Mix a spoonful of honey in a glass of milk and massage the mixture on your hair. Leave it on for an hour and then wash off. You won’t stop touching your hair after!
4. Eggs and Olive-Oil:
Eggs are also a hair superhero and there’s an egg based mask for every hair problem out there. Mix two egg yolks with olive oil for a deep conditioning mask, with yogurt for silky, shiny hair and two egg whites with some lemon juice for a mask that takes care of dandruff. Leave them on for at least 20 minutes and wash off with room temperature water.
5. Avocado and Eggs:
Avocados, nicknamed butter fruits are rich in natural oils that repair damaged hair. Mash one half of an avocado well and mix with two beaten egg yolks and apply the paste to your hair. Rinse after 20 minutes for revitalised hair.
6. Olive Oil and Lemon:
When mixed with some lemon juice and left on the hair for 20 minutes, olive oil can work wonders to restore lost shine. It is excellent for dandruff and a dry scalp.
7. Beer:
Got some left over flat beer from the holiday parties? Rinse your hair with it to add volume and shine to your locks. It also is a good conditioner for damaged hair. Just don’t forget to rinse your hair with water after to wash off the tell tale smell. And use beer with lower alcohol content.
8. Apple Cider Vinegar:
We cannot make a home remedies list without including apple cider vinegar because it’s magic. Mix half a cup of apple cider vinegar to your final rinse for silky, manageable hair sans frizz. Alternately, you can create a spritzing formula with apple cider vinegar and water and spray on thoroughly and wash off after 5 minutes for some deeper conditioning.
9. Tea:
Tea is an excellent shine booster and will enhance the colour and add vitality to lacklustre hair. Use unsweetened tea as a final rinse for best results.
Just make sure you don’t use a tea that is too dark for your hair colour.
