Fashin : When fashion meets Technology
Fashion just got revolutionised in the coolest way possible. An Artificial Intelligence startup based in Gurgaon has just come up with the world’s first ‘intelligent’ mobile app dedicated to fashion, that will help the fashionista in everyone identify and get access to the hottest trends the moment they become ‘the thing’. ‘Fashin’ is an Artificial Intelligence mobile app that allows you to identify trends from images and even music videos and tells you where to shop for the exact or similar looking item online. It also allows you to compare prices for the item between different brands and shopping sites. This app is said to be a life-changer where the discovery of fashion is concerned. It promises an intuitive experience that works in real time, finding you the best deals always. All we have to do is upload a picture of the clothes we like from a magazine or a friend and the app promises to find it for us. The big deal here is that this also works with videos, by extracting the trends from a video that’s running on the device that hosts the app, a first for an app like this.
Fashin app is sure to make life a whole lot easier for us. We don’t have to walk around the city to find a tailor who can copy Anushka Sharma’s latest lehenga in time for wedding season anymore. The app makes it super convenient to buy the trends we love. And we get so many options, to make sure we get our money’s worth. It’s the fashion assistant we have all been waiting for.
We’re quite proud of Staqu, the Gurgaon company that engineered the app. Staqu aims to change the fashion e-retail and e-commerce industry and their first launch is just what we’ve been waiting for. And we’re all excited to see what other innovations that they have in store for us. We love how they’ve used technology for the fashion world, simplifying our experience of the world in the way that technology knows best how to do. This app is available on iOS right now (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/fashin-discover-fashion/id1158850093?ls=1&mt=8) and it will be available for Andriod users later this month (November).
