The Face Shop Enters Indian Markets

The Face Shop India

Ladies, we have a new reason for you to get excited this year: an early Christmas present and it’s not even winter yet. If you’ve been a Korea buff all your life and have always marvelled at the smooth skin of the men and women from there, get ready for the launch of The Face Shop, South Korea’s natural cosmetic chain that’s set to take over the Indian market (and your vanity cases) very soon.

This brand is one of South Korea’s biggest exports, having expanded its roots in over 34 countries since its inception in 2003. And what makes it such a well loved brand? Its value based pricing and use of over 600 natural ingredients in its products, which generate really good results. The brand’s tag line, Natural Story, is enough to tell how just how committed it is to staying natural. And now that it’s coming to a country like ours where herbal and natural remedies have always been a friend, we’re sure we’re going to get along pretty well.

The Face Shop has in its catalogues a long list of over a thousand products from skin care to hair products and make-up for both men and women, so there is going to be something for everyone here. What’s also quite interesting about this brand is that it also makes use of oriental medicine in its formulations, so it has quite a few treatments for your specific problems. We’re particularly excited because it promises to be a brand that understands our skin, nourishing it in a nature friendly way without the side effects of chemical treatments.

What also really looks good is that The Face Shop is adapting itself to suit the Indian market a little more. The company has wanted to care for Indian skin since the very beginning and now that they have their chance, they’re doing all they can to make sure the match is well loved, including starting K-Beauty classes so we get to know more of the beauty secrets of our Korean counterparts. The company is going to establish its roots online first after which it should move to offline bases by next year.

Of what we’ve seen of its products, like its White Seed skin brighteners, its CC Cushions (powder make-up) and a line of products called ‘The Therapy’, which looks particularly lush, we think it looks great, from the packaging to what it does to our skin. Here at The Vogue Blog, we’re really looking forward to finding more of its yummy (because of all the good-stuff) products on the shelves later this year. Keep your eyes out for the brand, friends. This one should be worth trying.
