The most awaited fashion list of the year is out as Vanity Fair has released their annual International Best Dressed list. And what a day to start my new blog based on fashion, travel and lifestyle. So, 8/8/15 will be remembered as the day ‘The Vogue Blog’ came into existence and the Vanity Fair Best Dressed List came out.
So back to this year’s best dressed list, there were many names I was expecting, but some might really surprise the readers. Here goes the list:
Best Dressed Women 2015
- Francesca Amfitheatrof -Design director, Tiffany & Co.
- Samantha Cameron – First Lady, U.K.; creative consultant for Smythson
- Charlotte Casiraghi – The face of Gucci Cosmetics, Montblanc’s global brand ambassador, eighth in line to the throne of Monaco
- Amal Clooney – Human-rights lawyer
- Misty Copeland – Principal dancer, American Ballet Theatre
- Mellody Hobson – Investment manager
- Rihanna – Singer
- Queen Letizia of Spain
- Taylor Swift – Singer & songwriter
- H.R.H. the Countess of Wessex
Best Dressed Men 2015
- Robert Couturier – Architect, decorator
- His Royal Highness Prince Harry – Patron of multiple charities, including WellChild, Sentebale, and Walking with the Wounded; fifth in line to the British throne
- Jonathan Ive – Designer
- William Ivey Long – Costume designer
- Stavros Niarchos III – Financier
- Bill Nighy – Actor
- H.R.H. Prince Carl Philip of Sweden – Major in the Swedish Amphibious Corps, licensed racecar driver, third in line to the Swedish throne
- Jonathan Tisch – Chairman, Loews Hotels & Resorts; co-chairman of the board, Loews Corporation
- Iké Udé – Artist, portraitist
- Russell Wilson – Quarterback for the N.F.L.’s Seattle Seahawks
The Best Dressed Woman list saw new entrants like Amal Clooney, Taylor Swift, Rihanna and Misty Copeland. But thank god for Rihanna as other than her its nothing but conventional and royal dressing making it to the list. Who were your were favourites for the list?
